This is an individual assessment that you will complete in your learner-managed time, however, your teacher will provide opportunities during class time for clarification and guidance. All work must be completely your own and all literature used must be referenced appropriately using APA 7th edition. To pass this course, you must achieve a cumulative grade of at least 50%, across assessment one and two.

Instructions
To prepare for this assessment you will:
a. Select one of the case studies attached as appendix 1.
b. Create a Project Scope Statement to be presented to the sponsor. Discuss in writing the ways in which te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti considerations will be integrated in the project.
c. Based on the nature and characteristics of the selected case choose the appropriate development approach (predictive, iterative, adaptive, or hybrid) and then use your critical assessment to recommend and justify one methodology as the most suitable.
d. Use contemporary literature to support and justify your recommendation and draw on information on best practices.
e. Present your scope document and justification in a written report ready to be sent to the project sponsor.

The number of students and staff at AIC has been continuously increasing. This growth has made possible some of the projects previously considered impractical. One of these projects is the retrofit and redevelop Level 1 within the OP AIC building at 350 Queen Street to fit a Gym and Fitness Centre.
You are contracted to write the project documents for the internal redevelopment of these two levels. The purpose of the project is to provide a dedicated space for physical activity and the promotion of staff and student wellbeing. The facility must serve as a living example of sustainable interior construction and operational design.
The requirements are as follows
